MK25 EVO/A700

This scuba diver has the most prestigious Scubapro delivery system. The most recent innovation of these products is the Extended Thermal InsulatingSystem (XTIS), which introduces new standards on freezing protection in the diving industry. Available on the EVO primers, XTIS has the feature of completely isolating the internal mechanical components to ensure additional protection. Thanks to it, the level of thermal protection of MK25 EVO increases by 30%.

FIRST STAGE MK25 EVO

Sensitivity to breathing is the guideline of this model while maintaining the excellent characteristics of cold resistance typical of the Scubapro technology.

Flow-through piston Provides a constant and comfortable airflow regardless of conditions. The body is in nickel-plated brass with external finish DLC (Diamond Like Carbon).
Extended Thermal Insulating System (XTIS) thermally isolates the mechanism from the environment, delaying freezing in extreme conditions without compromising breathing performance.
The insulating coating of the spring combines perfectly with the XTIS system to improve performance.
The anti-freeze protection guarantees its reliability even in extreme conditions.
Two opposite high-pressure exits: the positioning of the high and low-pressure whips is crucial for the comfort of the dive because it allows to position the first stage in his preferred way. This allows the diver to position the instruments to accommodate the parts and increases the freedom of movement of the head and neck.
Four high-flow low-pressure outputs and one very high-flow axial: to ensure maximum freedom in the arrangement of the hoses.
The DIN version is equipped with a new dual-purpose handwheel featuring a new ergonomic shape and a soft grip on a sturdy black nylon frame.
Available in the 3364 psi / 232 bar INT or DIN 4350 psi / 300 bar configuration.
Air flow at 2900 psi / 200 bar: (l / min / SCFM):> 8500/301.
Intermediate pressure (psi / bar): 130-142 / 9.0-9.8.

Scuba diving in cold waters with SCUBAPRO:

The environmental conditions of diving can vary considerably, up to and including arctic temperatures where extreme cold, both of water and air, creates a high risk of freezing. Therefore, frost resistance is a crucial factor for the safety of the diver. All SCUBAPRO regulators are CE certified for cold water diving with pressures up to 300 bar. Many models also exceed these rigorous specifications and have been successfully used in waters below 2 ° C.

As an anti-freezing precaution, SCUBAPRO engineers designed a patented heat exchanger for the first stages MK17 and MK25 to optimize immersion in cold water. This heat exchanger increases the surface of heat transfer from the water, to heat the internal components in contact with the flow of air cooled by the expansion.

The MK17 model adopts a totally watertight equilibrium chamber which makes it free from freezing even at very low temperatures and at depths greater than those reached by the first conventional membrane stages.

For cold water dives, SCUBAPRO second stages use carbon fiber and technopolymers for precision molding of the case and components, even exceeding the CE specifications for cold water diving. Furthermore, these materials make them extremely light and resistant to corrosion.

SECOND STAGE

  • The balanced valve relieves the inspiratory effort at different depths and pressures. Intermediate The resistant all-metal casing, the cap and the valve housing can withstand years of diving in extreme conditions.
  • The metal architecture makes it possible to use a wider membrane inside a compact case, increasing sensitivity to breathing.
  • The user controls include an inspiratory effort adjustment knob and a Venturi effect control lever (VIVA-Initiated Vacuum Assist) (VIVA) for the flow control.
  • The superflow hose has an oversized gauge that allows a greater flow of air with each inhalation.
  • The ultra-comfortable orthodontic mouthpiece is easy to grip but does not inhibit the flow of air.
  • Air flow at 2900 psi / 200 bar: 2000 l / min. - 71 SCFM.
  • Maximum supply pressure: 203 psi / 14 bar.

Octopus R195

The new version of the redesigned R190 with a modern and innovative design. The R195 combines a classic downstream valve with a large diaphragm and a classic purge button.

Its simple and robust construction ensures maximum reliability, ideal for beginners and, thanks to the right/left connection of the whip makes it perfect for use with decompressing cylinders.
The octopus version adds to the characteristics of R195 a high visibility yellow cap and a 1-meter whip, also yellow, to facilitate the sharing of air.
