Mares has chosen to combine the second stage SXS with the proven first stage 62X, creating one of the most resistant and lightweight regulators in the industry. The compact 62X boasts all the innovative features of the Mares regulator, such as AST technology (Auto Sealing Technology), a pneumatic system that protects against the ingress of water into the first stage and the proven System with Natural DFC (Dynamic Flow Control) which guarantees a high and constant air flow at any depth.

The second stage Mares SXS is equipped with curved bypass with increased diameter, which offers a high air flow. This unique feature, combined with Mares’ patented Vortex Assisted Design (VAD), provides divers with comfortable airflow at any depth.
Mares has also designed a new baffle to optimize the venturi effect and reduce the risk of self-delivery, ensuring a more fluid and comfortable inhalation effort even at depths above 100m.

The second stage weighs only 185 g, is made of ultra-light technopolymer, also suitable for use by women and boys, thanks to the adjustment knob of the respiratory effort you can optimally manage breathing in a simple way, in relation to the depth and the different situations that can be created.
